vegan nana ice cream is oh so good!

I have a serious sweet tooth....well...always! After dinner I could make up just about any excuse to have some sort of sweet treat! So when I stumbled upon Nana Ice Cream, my first thoughts were "just bananas!? No way!". I’m addicted to bananas and I keep about 10 pounds of frozen organic bananas on hand, in my freezer at all times. Seriously you just blend frozen bananas together and you get a creamy banana ice cream! Of course you can add many things into the mixture and you get some pretty amazing creations!

Nana ice cream is good by its self but adding chocolate, superfood powders, different fruits, chocolate chips, or even cookie dough makes this dessert mostly healthy and tasty! It's so hard to find desserts dairy, sugar and preservative free these days, it's rewarding to be able to create a simple yet satisfying dessert with only a few ingredients. I pulverize the banana slices for a few minutes, scraping down the sides a few times. Then I blended them again. The bananas will take some time to reach an ice cream texture, so be patient. Use a powerful blender or food processor. Add the amount of extra ingredients depending on your taste buds.

*Note-if you have a hard time creating a creamy consistency, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of milk to help puree the banana slices. If you want soft serve texture serve immediately, for harder put in freezer for a few hours.
