You can't even taste the spinach in this! So for people who don't like the taste of greens the bananas cancel out any green taste, don't be afraid to throw as much spinach as you want in there!! I topped this smoothie with some chia seeds which also are packed with nutrients. Blend on and enjoy!!!

I use just a little almond milk with the coconut milk so it helps blend. Almond milk is lower in calories and fat then coconut milk is and blended together tastes great!

Instructions: Add all your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more almond or coconut milk if smoothie is chunky. I like the blend for at least 2 minutes it enhances the creamy taste of the smoothie.

Above is my new favorite coconut milk to use. It is reusable and can just be put in the fridge until the next smoothie you make. This coconut milk creates such a rich and smooth taste/texture. It is higher in fat being coconut milk and all, so use how you feel best!

Most stores should carry organic bananas. I know shopping organically can get expensive so try shopping at places that you know make their organic food affordable. Trader Joes is a great example.

Hemp seeds have become my new favorite addition to smoothies. They are jam packed with amino acids, essential fats, and protein. They help build and repair cells through the protein they naturally build. Hemp is super high in Essential Fatty Acids, which are essential for a healthy heart, brain, digestive function, glossy hair, healthy nails and glowing skin! The nutritional facts keep going so eat your hemp seeds!!

You will need:

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen mango

Handful of spinach leaves

1/4 cup of hemp seeds

1/4 cup coconut milk (recommend So Delicious culinary coco milk, carried at Whole Foods)

1/2 almond milk

All of these ingredients hold great nutritional value in our daily diets but I want to take a moment and point out how nutritious a banana really is. Bananas protect against muscle cramping with their high potassium. This yellow fruit also helps depression with high levels of tryptophan which is converted to serotonin- happy-mood brain neurotransmitter. Ladies! Bananas help reduce PMS symptoms with regulating blood sugar and produces stress-relieving relaxation. They also help reduce swelling, protect against type 2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, strengthen nervous system, and help the production of white blood cells all due to high levels of vitamin B-6. I would definitely throw a banana in the category of a super food!! (Always best to purchase organic)

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! I will admit I wake up pretty excited to eat something tasty in the morning. I do however most mornings like to eat something on the lighter side. I have my mornings where a hearty egg and potato breakfast is my craving (organic only of course)! But for this blog we will stick to the lighter side of breakfast! It has taken awhile to perfect my banana, mango, coconut, and spinach smoothie. I think I finally have it down to a creamy texture that will leave you wanting more!I make sure to use frozen fruit, that way you are not adding ice, which can sometimes water down your smoothies and take away from the taste. Less is more with the liquid you put in your smoothie. I like to add a smaller amount, blend that around and see if it needs more. I only add a little at a time to make a smooth and creamy texture.

The perfect morning smoothie
